Frequently Asked Questions.

"WTF is an Efficiency Consultant?"

An efficiency consultant is collaborative partner that might sometimes be referred to as a Tech VA, but we’re so much more than that. We collab with CEOs to better oganize online business operations to speed up project delivery and and improve team autonomy. Basically, we’re behind-the-scenes ninjas who develop systems and automation to allow biz owners to make bigger money moves without fear of the backend business being unable to support them. While your brain is coming up with new revenue streams, my brain is developing ways to involve your team quickly and seamlessly while creating an epic delivery experience for the clients.

“Do I Need to Hire an Efficiency Consultant on retainer for My Business?”

If you’re absolutely crushing it running a 7+ figure business with a team where most projects run smoothly and you're living the life you want, you probably don’t need an efficiency consultant on retainer. If that is you, AMAZING!

More often, I see entrepreneurs who are still on their way to 7 figures. They are still very much figuring things out and have more rough launches and stress tied to working in the business instead of on growth than they'd like to admit. In that case, having an efficiency consultant on retainer can optimize your operations without having to hire another full-time employee. Or, if you need a one-time system setup or audit, they can swoop in and save the day on a project-based setup.

"Can’t my VA Set Up Automation and Systems?"

I’m sure some can to a degree… if they have experience in automation and project management. If you're reading through this FAQ, they're probably lacking in one of those departments. Quite honestly, most VA’s thrive on simple check-off to-dos. That’s totally ok! We need people for that too, but that's also why people like me exist. I was doing these things as a VA before I leveled up because I found them fun - I know, weird. If your VA isn’t already killing it on optimizing your project management and you have minimal automation, it’s not their zone of genius. To quote Regina George: “stop trying to make fetch happen.”

"My Budget for Hiring Help in My Business Is Low Right Now. What Should I Do?”

We all start somewhere and hiring your first or even second person can be scary, but continuing to feel burnt out while trying to do it all on your own doesn't help increase revenue. In fact, it keeps you stuck in a cycle of feeling like you have too much to do to bring in clients, and not feeling like you have the time to do it all. So, take what you have to spend and get the best and most qualified help you can get at the top of your budget. Maybe even cut the budget in other areas or consider a loan, because having help pays for itself times 10.

“How Can I Find the Right Efficiency Consultant/Tech VA for Me?”

It’s a super important position because of how closely they’ll work with the team and CEO on improving the flow and speed of business operations. They are all up in the team’s business, how they do what they do, and why they do it that way. It has to be someone capable and good with communicating, but more than that, they have to be the right fit.

Take me for example. I am straightforward and pride myself on getting projects done efficiently with attention to detail, but I also curse fairly often and love making jokes. That might not work for everyone. Some people won't vibe with my directness or sarcasm. If you've made it this far you probably do though. Long story short, they should fit in with the type of business you’re building. Plus, techy consultants can be fast as lightening when it comes to learning new skills (thanks to admin and project management backgrounds). So, you can focus more on making sure they’re the right fit for you than on hard skills.

If you're ready to focus on your zone of genius instead of fielding a million questions and having to switch gears to be in the operations all day, let's make this offish and hop on a call.
